Master Key Week 15- Got Through the Germ Pit- Stepping AROUND it Next Time!

These past few weeks have pummeled me with tough challenges and related decisions to make. When you love a commitment you’ve made as I did, and possess powerful vision for the impact you can make, it is hard to see the potential for those opportunities dissolve. Fortunately as I have been exploring my inner world through the Master Key the process has naturally brought me to a place of insight and introspection. Just because I had these goals and dreams does not mean they weren’t errant or that they were in my best interests.

After some time of quietly examining the choices set before me, my clarity expanded to reveal that my vision in this endeavor was my own; not shared by others associated with the same endeavor. In retrospect it dawns on me how much I was working to try to force things to go the way I saw best- for me; for others; for the greater good as I viewed it. Perhaps my perspective delivered pinpoint accuracy. Perhaps it was absolutely distorted and 180 degrees out. In the end it is actually irrelevant. I am finally here, beyond the journey through the difficulty. And in the end it just feels liberating, as I imagine it does for others!

Insight- the ultimate scrubbing bubble for the mind!

Haanel 15-30 states, “…Insight must be exercised so that the thought we entertain contains no mental, moral of physical GERM which we do not wish objectified in our lives.”

I have been a walking metaphorical petri dish of such germs! It took me until this morning to arrive at this conclusion. I’ve been bitter, frustrated and downright angry. ACK!

After a completely sleepless night, largely related to my restless mind with this situation, I found magic! After lying in bed awake for 4 hours I decided to surrender to my wakefulness. Might as well settle down with part 15 of The Master Key System early before I have to squeeze it in somewhere later! Normally I only encounter Haanel once my mind has begun overflowing with thoughts, plans, tasks, ideas, etc. Hmmm… perhaps that has some bearing on why I still struggle to quiet my body and mind?

Going nowhere fast!

I am grateful for the lessons through this experience. “Insight enables us to plan to advantage and turn our thought and attention in the right direction, instead of into channels which can yield no possible return” (Haanel 15-33).

It is quite interesting to look up the origin of the word, “insight”. Originally it is derived from the Middle English referring to “inner sight”. I love this concise definition of the term from its origins! Next time I will catch myself up in my world within, before entering into an experience that causes difficulty. I’m grateful for the journey and the feedback from taking the time to thoroughly embrace my “inner sight”!

I am connected to the Universal Mind- no difference in kind or quality; only a matter of degree.
